My son who is in recovery has been using Kratom. We performed a 12-panel urine drug test which came back positive for methadone but no opiates. He is not taking any other meds that I know of that would cause a false positive. I’m wondering if anyone has ever had a positive methadone result while using Kratom? ## Just last week my urine drug test showed meth. A false positive. Freaked me out cause I don't do drugs. I was told kratom doesn't show up but evidently it shows up as false positive. Never had that problem before and have been taking for a while now. If I've been taking 10 mg of Methadone 6 times a day, is it at all possible I could give a clean urine if I haven't taken any for 60 hours? ## They have to have a specific test for methadone. Most drug tests are 5 panel tests. If they are 10 panel they usually test for it. methadone takes like a week to get completely out of your system. Especially if you have been taking it for a long period of time. ## DaddioMD is correct, to be detected, they must specifically be testing for Methadone, by running a wider panel test, it will not show up on the regular opiate tests, like Morphine or Oxycodone would. I have to take a 10 panel drug screen once a week and I have had a few issues come up that are scaring me bad. I take norco 5/325 as needed for pain, also tramadol and gabapentin. The center knows about all of these and I have been cleared by my po. However the other day they said I tested positive for oxycodone and sent it out for testing and they said it came back as morphine. I had a death in the family and a fam member gave me 2mg of klonopin at the funeral. I was hysterical but I knew better because I'm on probation and am subject to 10 panel ua's. Reason being is that the 10-panel drug screen tests for the illegal drugs, like cocaine, angel dust, heroin and marijuana. Some prescription drugs have the potential to become addictive, so the 10-panel drug test also screens for several legal drugs that are also known to be drugs of abuse. The test screens for tricyclic antidepressants, benzodiazepines, opiates, methadone, barbiturates and methamphetamine. Since testim (testosterone) is a naturally present hormone, I would think that all they could do is check your levels as opposed to accusing you of supplementing with it. Anyone else have input on this?

I took methadone for 10 yrs for pain at a methadone clinic because it was cheaper than dr. and I had no insurance. I HAVE to have pain meds due to spinal cord injury. Got insurance so pain doctor is only allowed to give 20mg a day in my state and I am used to 100mgs. My doc is very young. I like him but he has me on 25mg fentanyl for a month before he will go up. Hi. I go to the methadone clinic and have for about 2 years. I haven't done anything but my methadone in about a year and a half. One of my urine tests came up positive for opiates. They did a second test of the same sample and it showed positive for morphine. I haven't done morphine in about 10 years. Why is my urine test showing a false positive for opiates (morphine) when all I've taken is my methadone? Because of this I lost my phase that I've worked almost 2 years to get where I am! i am prescribed hydrocodine and i took an oxy 40 mg will they both show up as opiates? ## Yes. It has opiates in it. Both drugs will show up. ## Not it will not show up as opiate. It will only show up on a test designed to test for oxycodone. Most 10-12 panel tests test for oxycodone though show you will fail the drug test but it will not fail as opaite. It depends on what panel test they use however. Hydrocodone is a widely abused substance so they will most likely be testing for it. I been taking methadone 10 XML three times a day. Why is it not showing up in a urine test? My doctor is taking me off if the next test is the same. I already had two negative test.why. is this happening? ## It is possible that they are just running a standard 5 panel screen. Methadone does not test positive as an opiate. They have to run an extended screen which test for methadone. I would think your doctor would know this but I would verify.

I take 2 Percocets a day but took two viciden the other day and was just tested at pain management. I also took a Xanax instead of a klonipin the other day!
